Privacy policy — Azad HR app

Azad is the employee and manager app of the HR system used by your employer. Your employer controls your employment data (the data controller); Azad operates the system on its behalf (the data processor). The app can only be used with an account your employer creates for you.

Data the app processes

• Account: e-mail, password (stored hashed) and company code.
• Work data your employer shows you in your file: attendance, leave and balances, payslips, requests and approvals, training and reviews, notifications.
• Location: sent only with a clock-in or clock-out, at that moment, to check you are at the workplace when your employer enables it. The app never tracks location in the background.
• Phone identifier and model: a random number the app creates when it is installed, with the phone model and system version, sent with each punch so your employer knows which phone it came from. It is never used for advertising or tracking.
• Camera (selfie): taken with a punch only when your employer requires it, and deleted automatically after the period your employer sets.
• Notifications: a device token for request, approval and announcement notifications; switch them off in the app or phone settings.
• Technical data: device type, name and OS, to list your signed-in devices and secure the account.

How it is used

Only to run your employer's HR services: attendance, leave and requests, pay, internal communication. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties beyond what is needed to run the service (hosting, push delivery), what your employer instructs, or what the law requires.

AI assistant

When your employer enables the assistant, your questions and the data needed to answer them are sent to the AI provider your employer chose, within your own access only, and are not used to train its models.

Storage and security

Data travels over HTTPS; sign-in tokens live in the phone's secure storage. Data is kept on your employer's servers or on our cloud as agreed with your employer, for the duration of employment and the periods the law requires.

Your rights

You can see and ask to correct your data in the app or through your HR department. To delete your account or data, contact your HR department, which owns your employment file, or write to us and we will forward the request.
